Hi eveyone:

I have looked at the readme file that is distributed with the source and was looking to see if LinuxPTP supported full IEEE 1588 version 1 and version 2. I don't see any mention of transparent clocks and BMC algorithm. Some of the features we were wondering about are:

IEEE 1588 V1 and V2

* Boundary Clock V1

* Boundary Clock V2 - selectable support for the two default Profiles

* End-to-End Transparent Clock Sync Two Step Operation

* End-to-End Transparent Clock Sync One Step Operation

* Peer-to-Peer Transparent Clock

* BMC/Grand Master algoritm support

* 802.1AS Profile support

* ITU G.8265.1 Profile support

* PC37.238 Profile support

Could anyone please let me know if they which are supported in this package.

thanks

Dennis

* BMC/Grand Master algoritm support
Yes.

* 802.1AS Profile support
Yes

* ITU G.8265.1 Profile support
This seems to require unicast, so no.

* PC37.238 Profile support
I don't have a copy of this standard, and I am not planning on buying
one. I heard about this profile at the ISPCS while it was still a
draft, and I think we can support it, except for the part about
management via SNMP.
