Hi all,
I have run ptpd on one pandaboard which has to be a master like this :
ptpd -c -d -f ptpd.log -R -b wlan0

When I examine ptpd.log file, format is confusing and there are
special characters inserted, so I get something like this :

^Mstate: 2000-01-01 01:21:18:291893, init^@
^Mstate: 2000-01-01 01:21:18:293052, lstn^@
etc...

Is this known issue and how to correct this ?

BR,
Drasko

Hi all,
ptpd -c -d -f ptpd.log -R -b wlan0
Um, this list is about linuxptp, with the ptp4l program.

For ptpd, please go to ptpd.sourceforge.net for their forums/lists.

Thanks,
Richard

Hi Richard,
yes I have seen later. What is the exact difference between ptp4l and ptpd.

For example - if I have one master and several slaves that I want to
synchronize to that master - which strategies and program should I
use? Can (should)it be done with ptp4l ?

Best regards,
Drasko
